Born in Maine of Québécois descent, Ronald-Stéphane Gilbert is a retired global marketing-communications professional. A member of the Authors Guild, the Academy of American Poets, Boston’s Grub Street writing co-op, and Literary Cleveland, he is now a novelist whose work has attained  finalist status or honorable mention-status in  the American Writing, International Book, and Indie Excellence Awards; the New York, London, and Paris Book Festivals; and the Lorian Hemingway Short Fiction Competition. His mother’s demise from dementia and Alzheimer’s led him to write Conversations with My Mother, A Novel of Dementia on the Maine Coast as well as to become an active participant in the Cleveland Clinic's landmark Brain and MIND studies. He currently resides in northeast Ohio, with his wife, Leah, and their aged Pekingese, Reggie.
